For the 4th year, we will be volunteering at Town of Brookhaven's Toys for Tots. But, this year we decided to do a little more than just volunteering. We wanted to join in and donate to the program. We also opened it to the staff if they wished to donate. They were able to donate any amount they wanted and the students would do the shopping for them. Each student had to stay within a certain budget and had to buy for a specific age group and gender. This time of year is a great time to give to others and that's just what we did. A very special thank you to all of the staff that participated in helping us achieve our goal!

Students planned out a trip from Sachem East to Stony Brook University Hospital via public transportation. Students took one bus to Port Jeff train station where they transferred to a second bus that took them to the hospital. Students received a tour of the hospital. The class met with the volunteer coordinator of the hospital to learn more about how they could volunteer there. Everyone did fantastic!
